Meet the team

Sebastian is the CEO and co-founder of Scene (previously emocha), a medication engagement company that provides personalized, breakthrough medication support by combining video technology, clinical coaching, and validated interventions to radically improve medication adherence rates. In 2014, Sebastian spun Scene out of Johns Hopkins with Dr. Bob Bollinger and other medication adherence experts to help communities served by public health departments, health plans including Medicaid and Medicare, and health systems. Scene is now the standard of care for infectious disease adherence monitoring and is scaling quickly. Sebastian started his career as an attorney with Allen & Overy in London before launching his first company in Munich, Germany, in 2000. He earned his law degree from Columbia Law School and his MBA in Health Care from Johns Hopkins University.

Morad is responsible for business development and new partnership efforts. Prior to Scene, he managed a legislative portfolio of domestic and international issues for several years in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Toni Pashley serves as Chief Product Officer at Scene Health, where she leads the company’s product vision and strategy to expand technological innovations for medication treatment optimization. With deep expertise in digital health, Toni brings a proven track record of building and scaling integrated platforms that improve clinical engagement and deliver measurable outcomes.

Before joining Scene Health, Toni was Executive Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Sharecare, where she guided both product and engineering teams, driving significant growth and innovation. Her career also spans leadership roles at CNN, the CDC, NCR, and AT&T, where she honed her expertise in data integration, software development, and user engagement.

At Scene Health, Toni focuses on enhancing interoperability, usability, and patient insights to advance the company’s mission of transforming virtual care and driving real impact across health plans, providers, and patients.

Michael leads software development and delivery at Scene, working with mobile, web, and backend services. Prior to joining Scene, Michael was the lead developer and advisor to companies in Hexcite, an early-stage pre-accelerator program specializing in medical software at the Johns Hopkins Technology Innovation Center. He was also previously Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of a password management company that was accepted into the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator program.

Lindsay leads Scene’s program and clinical operations to ensure we provide efficient, human-centered and equitable health services. She has 15 years of experience in global and domestic healthcare innovation, program design and implementation, and capacity-building. Prior to joining Scene, Lindsay served as Senior Innovations Officer at Jhpiego - a nonprofit affiliate of Johns Hopkins - and is a returned Peace Corps volunteer.

Larry William Chang, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology, and International Health at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is Co-Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Community and Global Health in Infectious Diseases. Dr. Chang is an infectious diseases specialist at the Johns Hopkins Bartlett Specialty Practice and on the Polk service, a multidisciplinary HIV and infectious diseases inpatient unit. Dr. Chang’s research focuses on implementation science, including leveraging community health workers, applied epidemiology, and mobile technologies, to improve treatment and prevention for HIV and other diseases in settings ranging from Uganda to Baltimore.

Larry Chang and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins designed the initial emocha program for launch with HIV patients in Uganda in 2008, subsequently deploying the platform for patients with infectious diseases in Africa, India, and South America. Dr. Larry Chang is also a founder of [Scene] (formerly known as emocha) which spun out of Johns Hopkins in 2014.

Kathy Harris is a seasoned leader in finance, investment management, and corporate growth, with a strong background in mergers and acquisitions, venture and growth investments, and digital health. She serves on the Board of Directors for Kindbody and Scene Health, and chairs the Audit Committee at Kindbody. Kathy's significant contributions include raising over $350M in capital and leading strategic acquisitions, demonstrating her financial expertise and leadership capabilities.

Previously, Kathy was an EVP at Sharecare, Inc., where she managed 15 acquisitions and helped raise over $450M in capital, playing a pivotal role in the company's development and IPO process. Kathy holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and a BS in Accounting from Murray State University.
